Road Museum

Stopover at the Estonian Road Museum in Varbuse, located in southern part of Estonia, displaying the history of the construction of roads from ancient times to the present, but also the development of vehicles for building roads and those driving on them, and even the development from old post stations to gas station.

Unfortunately it was closed – like almost every museum in the EU on Mondays. But we walked through the outdoor part – a very intriguing staging of stretches of roads and their ’nodes‘ at different times. We’ve to come back again!

Very nice: an old Lada full with consumer items imported from West Berlin!
